Unveiling the Secrets of Wandering Black Holes in Dwarf Galaxies

But not all signals were what they seemed. Two imposters, ID 64 and ID 92, initially appeared promising, but further investigation revealed their true nature. ID 64's optical source, thought to be wandering, was actually a background galaxy aligned with the foreground dwarf, a cosmic illusion!
The Ghostly Candidates
And this is the part most people miss: 7 other radio sources remained a mystery, undetected in X-rays or optical bands. The authors believe three of these ghosts are background sources, given their extreme offset from the galactic center. One, ID 65, might even be the source of a Fast Radio Burst, a phenomenon still shrouded in debate.
