While this technique may not eliminate anxiety entirely, Robbins and psychotherapist Jonathan Alpert agree that it can significantly reduce the intensity of anxious feelings over time.

Alpert adds that fear of flying is often rooted in uncertainty and a perceived loss of control. He suggests practical steps to manage anxiety, such as focusing on simple routines, controlled breathing, and limiting exposure to negative news before boarding.
